9:25 I remember being there, and I remember this play so clearly. I was with family who where ND fans I was just tagging along. But this play got me hyped, I was cheering so loud as he was running down the field, and he was pretty much running right to where we were. Super awesome game over all

Good portion of the game on defense there were more freshman and second teams then starters. The o line is compromised of mostly 2nd and 3rd string backups due to injuries this year. I guess now they are starters. I believe it is you that doesn’t follow ND football. The Irish step up instead of crying like dabo and LSWHO.

Kyren Williams is an absolute beast. He needs to be in the conversation of top backs in this country IMHO.

they really missed #14 in this game. projected 3rd overall in the NFL draft. Believe me him being out was a big part of ND's defensive issues.

Hey everyone. I can’t say I know much about defensive formations, but it seems pretty obvious that Marcus Freeman (ND DC) likes to run schemes that place a lower emphasis on D-Line and a higher emphasis on zone/linebacker play. Anyone knows that this means for Notre Dame’s unit? Genuinely curious.

It means we get destroyed by running teams but with our DBs injured we also get hurt by big plays, we will beat teams we’re supposed to and struggle against challenges

It’s very bad. Look at the top teams. They utilize a 4 lineman scheme because it helps pass rush and stops the run better. Having 3 lineman gives the offense better numbers in the run game and force you to blitz linebackers to create a pass rush as 5 sometimes 6 players block 3 lineman gives time in the pocket. nd linebackers aren’t better pass rushers or run stoppers than their defensive lineman so unless it’s 3rd and long or prevent defense it’s a bad scheme

The defense has NOT been the "bigger problem all season". ND's only loss of the season came because the offense was terrible. The offense has been putting the defense in bad situations for most of the season.

The defense is the problem...too many points giving up. Thank god they didn't get backdoored.

It's as if Brian Van Gorder were back on the sideline. Unreal. Offense will have to produce heavily each game to offset that, and while things have been improving particularly with the run-blocking and the up-tempo playcalling that's allowed Coan to do what he does best, they're gonna make a mistake that might cost them a close game or two.

It's like defense was strong point ,and offensive line was horrible, now it has flip flopped .I would love Marcus Williams to implement a little bit of Clark lea's defense in with his, and it would hopefully offset the big plays. Our defensive players still know Clark lea's scheme. You combine the two schemes more and you got a more disciplined Notre Dame defense.

I hadn't expected NC to be so tough. They get punched and they get up and punch back so quickly.

I watched this game and I counted 53 holding penalties that the Officials ignored. 42 by NC and 11 by ND. Yes it may slow down the game but they need to STOP rewarding teams for breaking the rules.

Jay Bateman had two weeks to prepare for Notre Dame and still gave up 44 points
