This 3rd place finish qualified him as an alternate, and then he snuck into the field after a late scratch. History in the making.

if this horse runs in the KY derby he may be the best value out of top point earners. animal kingdom won this race and won the derby. if ken mcpeek decides to run he's doing it to win, not just make a showing. the horse did well early on grass, it doesn't mean he can't run on dirt. he has good dirt bloodlines as well

Steaks is a play on words because of the naming rights belonging to a steakhouse

Running on the dirt against far superior and speed on the front end in the Kentucky Derby. He will disappoint for sure because he is at his best on synthetic or turf,fact.

If They ran the KD on turf this year this horse would run away with it this year? This a very classy colt but not sure he acts on dirt based on his holy bull run?

Nice worry to have ( ky derby or Epson) my concern would be the jockey brian Hernandez Jr! Who's to say the dirt race wasn't to tiz's liking more than the rider being 3rd class 🤔 at gulfstream? Yes he wins races being on much the best horses ( black type stakes, allowance, claiming) graded events always seem to be lackluster..

@@animalkingdom137 like I said it's not necessarily he's a bad rider but vs those guy's that win these races every month ( Rosario, irad , prat , geaux, Jose, and another 4 or 5 ) he's just all over ! Looking back at the Jeff ruby brain rode that horse out not looking to see if anyone was even within striking distance. Yes he wins races at a high % ( again riding horses I could win on! black type, allowance ) The derby can come down to the jockey who played the best hand and Hernandez Jr DOESN'T fit the status! Again jmopo!! He's not even the best HERNANDEZ rider I'll give it to Raphael m Hernandez ( woodbine, gulfstream) I'd give him a little better than his brother ( not much )
