They’ll run at a very high speed for the first 3/4 of the race but still reserve a little bit of fuel in their tank for the final stretch. There was a horse that raced there called Light Brigade that the racing form would show "finished last by 30 lengths", etc. He ran last and he finished last. @@panchigancedo6247 Agreed. Judging only by the title, when I heard those fractions and saw Market Maven's odds I thought the "upset" was going to be a wire to wire victory. Usually when you let a frontrunner get away with fractions like that they run away with it. It really was an upset to have a last to first finish with that set up.
