I visited Montreal for a medical conference, so long ago I can't even remember the year, but it was in November, I'd never seen an NHL game before and the Habs were in town. So I got a seat on the Bell Centre 400 level, so high I was looking down on the press box, and everybody around me looked like a teenager. So I was the only one there over age 20 and the only one who didn't speak French. Great experience (as I recall, it wound up being a draw with the Ducks) and I've been a Habs fan ever since. I even went over to the old Forum to check it out. Even though I live in North Carolina now (still haven't made it to a Hurricanes game), once the Canes were out, it was Habs all the way. Congrats on getting to the final and good luck against either Tampa or the Isles.

I remember this feeling in 07 for my ducks, since then they haven’t been able to make a consistent run to the cup, I went to Montreal in 2016 for a Gm against the flyers, the fans were so kind to me, truly the best fans in the world are Canadians, on top of that I’ve never said so many banners in one building. I have adopted the habs as my backup team since then

The crazy part in all of this is that the arena is filled at around 15% and it’s still louder than 70% of the other franchises at full capacity…😂

Montreal wins. The Price is right.

The Knights must be feeling extremely frustrated, because they're obviously a very good team but they keep running into obstacles right near the top. But they have got to fix the power play, which is just wretched, particularly given the talent in their lineup. The Habs seem to be running on a dream and a prayer. One of the great underdog stories in recent sports.

Well I wouldnt say their PP is always bad, cant forget the habs havent allowed a pp goal since the middle of the toronto/habs series. Playing against a team thats been dominant on the pk doesnt help how your pp looks

Vegas is a powerhouse, a talented team, but Montreal exposed their weakness. Vegas are not good backcheckers (which allowed the overtime goal) and their line changes are slow and sloppy. They also didn't create good defensive coverage on Montreal's breakouts. I think they need a coach who has a good technical approach and then Vegas would be unstoppable.

The flashy teams are always great for the regular season, but come playoff time you need to be capable of playing a slow game with lots of defence to last, which mtl has done great and vegas is barely capable of, vgk tried to bring the speed back to this game but it never lasts, mtl time and time again will find the holes in their defensive strategies, they owe all their playoff successes to the golden refs anyways
