Even if not a horse racing fan how could you not get excited when he calls American Pharoah's run for glory and the Triple Crown!!! Well done!!!! I have since been in the presence of the magnificent American Pharoah!! Awesome horse!! So sweet!!! Thank you Pharoah!!!!

All it took was "American Pharoah makes his run for Glory" to make the goosebumps go

Justify in the Preakness was one of the best races I ever watched. Imagine trying to call that race. "NOT EVEN THE FOG COULD STOP HIM!"

Best commentator by far because how passionate he is for the sport great calls keep it up

I wish you had made an exception and included American Pharaoh's Breeder's Cup Grandslam win. The call Larry gave as AP charged down the stretch was legendary and gives me chills every time.

"And they're into the stretch in that slop at Pimlico and AMERICAN PHAROAH HAS PULLED AWAY!" It was at that very moment I had no doubts at all he was the next Triple Crown Winner

Too bad you restricted it to "Triple Crown calls". One of Larry's most emotional calls was the 2015 Breeders' Cup Classic -- American Pharoah's final race.

Had never heard of him until last year's Filly & Mare Turf. "Here comes Loves Only You! Loves Only You's coming! To win! For Japan!" Great great caller.

Best announcer by far, and we will see if Tiz The Law will be a Triple Crown Winner with the different schedule this year over 15 weeks!!!!

@@question_it_701 He was retired while PERFECTLY HEALTHY only halfway through his 3 year old year after only 3 major wins, because his greedy owners didn’t want his stallion value to go down by risking a loss. Taking him out that early was the worst thing racing has ever seen and this trend is killing the sport.

If his call of American Pharoah's TripleCrown win does not give you goosebumps, you are dead

I love pharaoh but I could never get excited about baffert or zayat winning the triple crown. They've both done wayy too many scummy things

Larry's a good dude, but he's become a MAD SCREAMER in the tradition of the worst sports announcers. Larry, Calm it a bit - we know when it's exciting, no need to be so flamboyant about a race/race call.

You're closer to a Darla than he is to a Laura. I guarantee it.

Collmus is a screeching harpie. His contrived/scripted, overwrought calls attempt to make it all about him. He is not especially accurate, and you can usually tell who he has bet on, because he mentions them randomly and often. He's a mediocrity, whose idea of drama is that it increases in concert with the volume of his idiotic shrieking. Please hire the more well modulated and infinitely more accurate Trevor Denman or Michael Wrona for future NBC national broadcasts.
