Michael Edwards and Co. know what they are doing. Just because Liverpool have had a drop in play doesn’t mean ridiculous drastic changes need to be made. Do I think we need to bring in some new bodies and sell some of the ones we have? Yes. But I think the majority of this team is still capable of performing at the highest level. If Slot is who “they” think he is, Liverpool will be battling at the top of the standings next year. This is by no means anywhere close to being a rebuild process. YNWA.

Must be pretty wounding though… the first premier league title you won was during COVID so you couldn’t celebrate and that “quad” Liverpool fans were bragging about turned into the League Cup. The wheels really did fall off for Klopp’s farewell 😅

I don't know man. The team needs a pretty big overhaul to stay in the title race imo. Salah and Van Dijk are not performing like they were in their championship seasons. They need to sign another quality striker. TAA needs to shift to midfield because he's a liability defensively. They need two more midfielders and 3 -4 defenders to be able to endure their long season.

@@chrisf8097 i agree with that. Those were 2 of the bodies that need replacing. Along with Jones, Gomez, Tsimikas…….and if someone is crazy enough to offer up a decent price……Darwin. He has cost us more games than he has won for us. Who knows where we’d be right now in the standings if someone like Victor Osimhen were getting those chances. We’d certainly have more than 75 points right now I’ll tell you that much.

I am not sold on this appointment. Much as Edwards and his team's data-led approach has a great track record, the odds, namely, history, are against Slot. The record of managers doing well in the Eredivisie and then coming in to the EPL only to flop is overwhelming. I became an LFC fan at 11, and waited 26 long years to watch Liverpool become champions of England. It took a literal once-in-a-generation coach to turn us into champions. I fear it will be another generation's wait for that to happen again. Look at this abysmal trend: Giovanni Van Bronckhorst won Feyenoord their first Eredivisie in 18 years. His next head coach job was at Rangers where he got sacked after a year. Frank De Boer won 4 Eredivisie titles with Ajax and followed that up with a 14-game tenure for Inter Milan and a 5-game tenure for CRYSTAL PALACE. Steve McClaren won FC Twente the Eredivisie, and what has he ever achieved as manager in elite football? Let's not forget what Erik Ten Hag's 3 Eredivisie titles have done for him in the Premier League.

Liverpool need to buy defenders . The defense is horrible and they’ve leaked goals by the dozen . Konate needs a scooter and injury prone , Gomez is hot and cold and Tsimikas is not Premier League standard . Plus we need midfielders who actually score and strong defensively

I don't think it helped that a lot of the back 5 were injured for long spells. Allison, Trent, Robbo, and Konate'. Never helps changing it all the time. Probably need another CB though since Matip is leaving.

I already hate Slot and am a Liverpool season ticket holder. Really bad attitude at his previous club downing tools because he wanted out, then telling the press yesterday he wants the Liverpool job.
