Though I will say that if you notice all the other elite gymnasts after their events, they are still panting/need a moment to re-center. Simone is on a league of her own.

I’m so glad to see an older girl succeeding in this sport. Girls used to be done with their careers in gymnastics by 20.

@@ghostygirlai think what they’re talking about is how most 20+ year old girls are done competing because 1. Injuries because of so much intense training in youth and 2. It’s hard to compete against girls in their prime as an athlete past your prime

This is so difficult that it is tenths of a point for different placements and Simone Biles is Whole Points Ahead... Insane Talent and Dedication!

I thank God for my life, I've lived to see Elvis, Michael, Prince, Whitney, Dianne, Jordan, Flo Jo, and now I can say Simone Biles. I'm blessed😊

This athlete brings tears of joy to my eyes every time. I've never been a gymnast, but the effortlessness in her glide to propel her body, and her form in the air. I have no words. I feel joy. When I desire a positive boost in my day. I watch Simone Biles. 😊

I follow a few gymnasts on YT and I've seen a few comment about how nerve wracking it is to go after her. Even days after 😂 there are of course some extremely talented gymnasts who are right behind her, but Simone is just on a different level. Like the commentator said, she's trying to beat her own records, she's literally competing with herself.

The judges always smile back at her. They know, they know!

She is unbelievable. I am so glad she took the time she did when she was struggling with her mental health. Look at her now! She is amazing. Back and even better. She is changing the sport. Not just the greatest gymnast of all time, but she is hands down one of the most influential athletes of all time in any sport. Also, my mind can't even comprehend what she's doing on the floor routine. She is so fast. My mind is blown.

Honestly? I don't think cameras should be permitted in the staging area. For any sport. Telephoto lenses bring us close without intruding on the athlete's preparation. You can see Simone is not only aware of the camera person but is actively avoiding them. Take a hint and get out of her space.
