These are US TV hosts, not average sports fans in England. They see that the EPL is the strongest league in the world, and draw the conclusion that England must be the very best. They can win the championship, but they also almost lost to Slovakia and Switzerland. The cautious style of play makes them vulnerable. The English midfield is strong nonetheless.

The England side has amazingly talented players! We have a few talent in the Dutch squad but nothing compared to the English. That said, Southgate’s tactical approach to football - instead of going for the win trying not to loose - results in some of the most dreadful football of this tournament. The worst final, and I’m not even going to watch it if these are the final two - is England - France. Both teams play football with the calculator in hand and it will be a 0-0 after 120 minutes with no excitement. I hope for Spain - Holland. Yes, we will get our bits whooped - most likely 4-1 or 5-2 but it will be fun to watch. I hope France is out tomorrow morning, and England, too. Because I’m Dutch, but also for the sake of football. If France and England win, we will champion that kind of football where our talents can’t shine because it’s all about the tactical plan of mediocre coaches

It's incredible how these guys blindly trust a team that nearly got knocked out against minnows Slovakia if it weren't for a ridiculous goal by the star boy. Netherlands is far better than all England's past opponents and they'll struggle big time.

The last tournament England won was 1966😂 At least the Netherlands won something 22 years more recently. I don't understand why England is always being put forward as favourites.. they can't even score and haven't faced any "big" football country this tournament.

England is always in the quarter finals, more often than not in the semi finals and usually in the finals which is why they are listed as the favourites.

I say if England plays like they have then they will lose, will this be the game they finally wake up and start playing some footy? If you want to edge it out against this Dutch squad you need to take some risks to break through the lines, I have no doubts about the Dutch attack and goals will come. I'm Dutch so obviously I hope orange pulls through, but what I want mostly is a exiting game that makes me squeeze my cheeks! Let's go!

But with England now hinting they are finding their groove, along with a renewed belief in their ability to win whatever it takes, and also the simple fact that they have the majority of the more impactful, quality players, both on the field and on the bench, I think the balance of this duel tilts slightly in England's favour. When you are this far winning is what counts. The lackluster performances against worse teams in the beginning pissed me off.

Why are these three talking about Denzel Dumfries as if he is having a good tournament so far? Dumfries was more than fine against Romania, but he wasn't able to make enough of his runs on the right flank during the other games. Dutch players that have been carrying their team are Schouten, Gakpo, Verbruggen, Ake, maybe Reijnders too. Substitutes Weghorst, Malen and Frimpong impressed. England has played very conservatively, perhaps deliberately because of Southgate. If past performances are a guide, I would expect that England will have more possession, but they will hardly dominate.
