Amazing Vingegaard, this will be a classic Tour de France!!

SO impressed about Jonas performance! So glad he was able to hold on the attack of Tadej. Those two make TDF incredibly exciting! Hoping Jonas can hold for the length of the race!

What a thrill to see Jonas riding that way today. It’s going to be interesting to see how he sheds fatigue with limited preparation.

It's an excellent start for Jonas, but the Tour is long and we'll see if he can continue with this form the whole way through. .

To see Jonas so relaxed after all his suffering must be a big concern for UAE. I've never seen him so pleased as he is right now. That shows that he has grown much more as a professional since last year and believes more in himself, although he genuinely expresses that he doesn't know how much he can achieve because of his preparation and his recovery. I believe that with each stage he'll be stronger.

Netflix did Vingegaard wrong and now everyone not following cycling regular is questioning him without any knowledge. Pogi has been the most crushing rider in all terrains and all races for years with raw power. Then Vingegaard crushed him in the most technical 22km TT ever and thats doping? 😂 Noone thinks about the week before that TT - Pogi was taking time on Vingegaard on 3 stages in a row. Look at the descent on this stage. Vingegaard is a Beast and absolutely fearless. Pogi has dominated much more than Vingegaard over the years. Vingegaard is more a Tour specialist. This will hopefully be an epic Tour again. Good luck to both riders. ♥️

Very good. Now we need to see if he can do it during the 3 weeks.

It has been very hot and stage 4 will be cooler. Because of this, I believe UAE have held back a bit so far. It sure didn't look to me like they were going all in today at all. They never had all their guys at the front on the climb. Plus, Ayuso was suffering a bit yesterday, so no reason to really push it. We ain't seen nothing yet.

Imagine if Jonas didnt crash how boring this tour would have been in the later stages when tadejs legs would start to feel the giro😮

Jonas is the real GOAT now. Tadej at his best and still jonas ez follow him:)

I had a hunch that it would actually be good for Ving with the injury layoff. Bike riders never get to take weeks fully off normally, but of course this was different. Anyway, we already knew that his body recovers faster than normal riders, so perhaps it's little surprise that he's already back at this level?

What a story if Vinny could make this a battle like we have seen in the last few years

as expected Vingegaard will win the tour. You need to turn it around, and hope that Pogacar is willing to put up a show. Pogacar is now annoyed an hopeless that he cannot set Vingegaard in the start of the tour, so he knows whats waiting him in week 3.

NoT too much surprise in my opinion. Visma NEVER specified the REAL severity of the injuries, only there were a lot of journalist speculations. But in the cycling world every team knows (gossip) about every team. In fact, Pogacar always said: "I'm sure Jonas will be in great shape". One of the best friend of Tadej is Tratnik.

What are you talking about? 12 days in hospital. 1 punctured lung, 1 broken collarbone and 3 broken ribs! Operated for the broken collarbone that were screwed together to save some healing days. This are less than 90 days ago. I would not even hope for being able to go grocery shopping myself if having experienced that. Jonas are one though cookie with a mentality of very very few.

His power and recovery is not humanly possible. He is on some sort of enhancer like many of the other riders.

Imagine how boring it would be if these guys were not all zooted and booted. PD make all sports better and you can pretend they are not in them but you are wrong. Human nature and our competitive drive will never be contained by any rule or regulation agency. I just wish there was not so many naive people thinking its just a couple guys here and there. I really wish we just full on allowed it in all sports. Then they could go all out without the techniques they have to do to hide them. Maybe two divisions natty and jacked.

Stay tuned for stage 4 on Tuesday. Two cat 2 climbs including an HC climb will tell us if Jonas' recovery is for real and he can keep up with Tadej. I don't want the TdF to be over on stage 4.
