How does this not have 33 MILLION views.
His accomplishments are overwhelming…LEGEND 👑
how does a video like this not have millions of views? Bravo NBC, this was a freakin masterpiece.
Bravo, congratulations Mario! The best race car driver ever. Indy love's Mario and all Andretti's
What an incredible life.
I have great respect for Mario. He is an excellent driver that has had an excellent career. In 1978 I was a young guy working as a race mechanic and met him at the Montreal Grand Prix. Some of the famous drivers were kind of aloof, rude even, but Mario was just a normal guy doing what he is very good at. We had a nice chat(mainly about the Canadian weather as it was quite cold that year) in the pits which I will never forget and I thank him for that.He is really top shelf as a person and as a driver. Cheers.
When I was 12 I saw him race at the long-gone Langhorne Speedway in 68. Ten years later I saw him race the Lotus as World Champion at Watkins Glen. In the 80s and 90s I saw him race and win in Indy cars. Four decades, a winner in all of them. It was a privilege to see this legend race.
Can’t believe NBC produced such great material... Great person and an incredible life story. Bravo, Mario. The ending is very cool too

LEGEND!
He is my favorite racing driver. Raced and won in everything! That is what made him a legend.
@marioandretti was so cool! Met him at a meet and greet before the Denver Indy race. He signed a 8x10 of my son in his first race car at 3 years old. “Follow your dreams, Mario Andretti “ I wrangled pit passes and my 3 year old “fist bumped” Mario in his pace car just before the race ! Good day. Thank you @marioandretti
Before the movie I liked Mario, but now even more! He is one of the most famous pilots, but he is nonetheless humble and therefore earns my respect. Bravo Mario!

Happy 80th Birthday Mario Andretti
we love you champ! You’re one of those great Americans that sets the bar for the rest of us God bless you
Unbelievable that NBC has put together such a high quality documentary, thanks
Congratulations Mario. He is one class act.
What a gentleman! The greatest ever and he comes across as the most genuine guy! You have all my respect, Mr. Andretti. Here’s to many more great years of health 🍷
For me he is Mr motor racing, like Ian Botham, Franz Klammer or Katarina Witt. Bigger than their sport taking it to a new audience. That's why he's a Commendatore. Thank you Mario

Great story , it shows that when you want something you can achieve it you just have to ask yourself how bad do you want it. Congratulations on your success Mario💯
Mario, you have inspired me my whole life (which is a long time!). Thank you for your inspiring leadership and setting the example. As your Dad would say, the glass is always half full! God Bless! JB - Florida

Grande Mario!
I have pictures of me and Mario. I guarantee Mario would recognize my sister. She sold him shoes and a tie.
Mario I believe in my heart that God shows your dad what you built up and your winery I'm sure of it! God bless

Grande Mario orgoglio italiano
Just tonight (1-22-2024) saw this "pop up" in KZread's shows to watch. Made about four years ago by NBC Sports crew people who did a very good production of one of the "Best...All-Time" legends in my favorite sport: Auto Racing. Mario has been in my 61 years of Indianapolis Champ Car auto racing following, in my Top Five All-time favorites of the sport. (Among the other of my all-time favorites in the sport have been, Jim Clark of Scotland; A.J. Foyt, Jr; Bobby and Al Unser; and, Tom Sneva. Mario and his family have been remarkable to read and see over the decades. As to the Champ...Yes, he should have/could have won Indy another time or so...as well as his son, Michael, who should have won the "500". Yet..."fate" of some kind always took it away. And, personal tragedies the Andretti family has taken its moments that some of us Indy racing fans won't forget...Yet, The Legend goes on...and may it continue for many years to come! Viva, Mario!
I love this, thank yo so much
A+
WCB to your son Michaël in F1.
In my view, he's up there with Moss, Hamilton and Schumacher. Andretti could make a supermarket trolley into a winner.

Do you not think so? I suppose we all have our own rankings of those of whom were "famous" in our world. Even people who didn't follow racing in the late 20th century, still new the name "Andretti"

Possibly - Yet as a child growing up in the 80's, even as a kid in a non racing fan family, by kindergarten I knew who Mario was - Senna? Not until I was nearly an adult & became a personal racing fan. A career as long & wide as his also would seem to expose him to far wider ranging amounts of people. I say all of this now as a BIG fan of Senna. But Mario became something of a household name. Blessed to enjoy the legend left by both 😊

Not in the USA, thats for sure. And Andretti is just such a legend if not more. Overall way more succesful in very diverse racing classes. Came, saw, and won, and more important, survived it all, which is impressive on itself.

Nah. Even non-racing fans know Mario Andretti. You can't say that about Senna.
